We woke up to an overcast day and only a 20% chance of rain. That rapidly inflated to 100% and we had to delay the start of our golf game until about 10:00 AM. Very nice course with lots of water and interesting elevation changes. I was able to clean out my golf bag of all the old balls I had accumulated over the years. Ok, I will fess up and say I lost a lot of balls. It is a nice course and Linda and I hope to return here next summer.
Yes, this is our car and it has rain on it! It is all hooked up and ready to tow. It goes where it is towed, so to speak.
I took this picture in Oregon and thought I could title it "how I spent my summer vacation". It was about 320 miles to where we spent the night in Corning CA.
We did stop in the Camping World in Redding. If you don't know, Camping World is like Toys R Us for campers. After doing all the damage we could we found our way to Rolling Hills RV. Ah, yes, there is a casino there as well. We did enjoy a nice fish dinner and maybe a little gambling.
Big truck stop. Truckers have a whole list of amenities available as well as parking for free.
Camping was only $28.00 a night and all are pull through sites. Pick the one you want and pull in. They do have a shuttle service so you don't have to walk all the way to and from the casino.
Way out in back there is actually a golf course. As far as I can tell it is probably one of the most unused courses in California. I did not see a soul on it.
Well, here we are shortly before departing for home in Modesto. We have lived in our little house for 100 days and enjoyed every one of them. Linda and I felt like we ran away from home and loved it! We were full time RV'ers for 3 months and really enjoyed the lifestyle. We are not ready to sell the house or anything, but we are anxiously anticipating hitting the road. Until our next blog, happy trails! There was some question about where Kacey G ended up. The last sighting was as he tried to stow away with Katie and George in the Bozeman Montana airport. Linda and I believe he found a hiding place in the motor home and hitched a ride back to Modesto. If this rogue gnome found a new home, we will sniff him out and deal with him accordingly. Keep you posted.
