Lemmon visit part two

 Larry told us we had to stop at Hoovers on the way back to Rapid City. 33 miles either way to the closest grocery store. They also have great card tables for pinochle and ??

 Larry's spices on sale as well as wooden shelves.

 Only heating available and she said it works very well.

 On the way back we stopped at Deadwood, a very interesting city.

 George was trying the BIG wheel, no luck there.

 Linda Lou however, had pretty good luck on a buffalo penny machine. Check out the payout!

 Sorry this is out of order, my bad. Back in Lemmon for breakfast! Rachel loved the waffle I made her!

Camping at Dennis' house and off to Lemmon SD

Dennis was nice enough to have power and water hookups for us while we went to Lemmon. He has a beautiful house. 

On the drive to Lemmon we had to stop as a cattle drive was crossing the road. Everything was so green, we were lucky they had recent rains to make it look so nice.

I really could not pass this up! How often do you get a shot of a cowboy on a triceratops?? This is on the main street in downtown Lemmon. 

They are most proud of their petrified wood park. It has some strange shapes in it and the beginning of the trail to Yellowstone. 

Got to be one of the coolest, literally, houses in Lemmon. It is sunk half in the ground, only the garage is fully above ground.

We really enjoyed talking to Mildred, my girl never misses a chance to talk!

We were very happy that Larry, Rachel and Joann made the trip!!

Dinner with the Smebakken boys

June 25, 2013 we met Darwin, Dennis and Doug Smebakken at a great Japanese restaurant for a wonderful meal and evening! Our only problem again, was the GPS that had us running in circles until we found it by accident. 

Conversation was FLYING...

And dinner was awesome!

Mount Rushmore SD

Beautiful weather and everything is still green! Even though it is windy, South Dakota is still looking very nice.
